Cruzan Comfort villa is located in the area of St. Croix best known as Grapetree. It is on the south shore of St. Croix's east end, approximately 15 minutes by car to the town of Christiansted.

The villa's location is perfect if you are looking for privacy, but still close to dining, beaches and entertainment.

Just east of Cruzan Comfort you will find two of the most pristine beaches on St. Croix, known as Jack and Issac Bays. There is no vehicle access to these beaches, so you'll need to put your sneakers on and hike down. You will find a dirt path that leads to the first bay at Point Udall, the monument that recognizes the eastern most point of the United States. Travel down that path, along the beach and then up a small hill to reveal THE beach you want to hang out at. (shown at right) Bring your snorkel gear, snacks, lots of water, cover up from the sun and SUNSCREEN as there is not much shade.

Just over the hill from your villa on the north side of the east end you'll find many restaurants and attractions. The Cultured Pelican, or "Pelican", as we call it, has unbelievably good Italian style cuisine and homemade desserts. Once you've spent a relaxing day at the beach, enjoy the lively atmosphere at Divi Carina Bay Resort and Casino. The waterfront property has a sandy beach with lounge chairs, palapas for shade and a complete water sports center with rental gear, kayaks, sunfish and more. Stay for lunch at the casual pool-side restaurant or make dinner reservations at the more formal dining room. If you are feeling lucky- the Divi Carina Bay Casino, the only casino in the U.S. Virgin Islands is right across the street. Every night you can enjoy live music and free drinks for those who are gaming (must be 18 years or older to enter the casino).

Other places nearby that you will enjoy: Point Udall, St. Croix Yacht Club, Grapetree Beach, and a 9-hole golf course just a short 5 minute drive from Cruzan Comfort villa.

What about the rest of St. Croix? You will find plenty of things to fill your days with...or fill them with nothing at all.

The hillsides of St. Croix are dotted with beautiful historic sugar mills that date back to the 1800's. Learn more about our diverse history by strolling through Christiansted. Christiansted was once a major import/export harbor. In town, you can explore Fort Christianvaern, The Scale House, Apothecary Hall, and The Steeple Building. Stop in the National Parks Gift Shop and Information Office to get a map or arrange for a guided walking tour.

You're on an island! It's warm! Get wet! Buck Island National Monument is the largest underwater National Park in this hemisphere. Located only one and a half miles of the northeast side of St. Croix, Buck Island is known for its white beaches, crystal clear water and the abundace of marine life you'll encounter along the snorkel trails. Full and half day excursions are available to Buck Island. Other fun water activities include world class scuba diving, kayak tours of Salt River and deep-sea sport fishing.

If you are looking to stay dry- then check out the Cruzan Rum Distillery. Learn how the finest rum in the world is still made today- and how the production has evolved over 300 years. Cruzan Rum is one of the only rums still in production by a family supervised distillery in the Virgin Islands.

You will notice the west end of the island looks very different from the east end, where Cruzan Comfort is located. Take a horseback tour of the rain forest, stop in and enjoy the beautiful grounds at St. George Village Botanical Gardens and get an up close look at Estate Whim Plantation Museum and Greathouse in Frederiksted.
