What is a "Cruzan?"
"Cruzan" (also spelled Crucian) is the nickname given to residents
on the island of St. Croix. The owners of Cruzan Comfort villa are long-term,
year-round island residents formerly of New York and New Jersey. The house
itself can qualify as Cruzan, too, since it does, in fact, reside on St.
Croix! Many of St. Croix's best-known products have Cruzan in the name
(Cruzan Rum, for example).
Why the "Comfort"?
"Comfort" (as in: comfortable) is the word we use to
best describe island living. The year-round warm weather stays in the
sunny 80's, with cooler breezes at night. The water temperature averages
80, too. The dress is casual. The people (see: Cruzans, above)
are friendly and welcoming. Chances are the daily pace of life is less
frantic than where you live. The Cruzan Comfort villa's spacious design,
sprawling views, and list of amenities makes it quite comfortable.
Put it all together and...
Cruzan Comfort is located on the south shore of St. Croix's beautiful
east end, 30 feet above the Caribbean Sea. Every room in the house has
a magnificent view and opens onto the large deck. The house sits in the
center of an upscale residential neighborhood with luxury homes. There
is a major St. Croix resort and casino less than 1/4 mile away (or a stroll
down the beach) where you will find restaurants, a large pool, scuba,
kayaking, windsurfing, and snorkeling.
